The canoe is an ability given to you when you begin your quest to rescue your father, Isaac, early in the game. It can be used at any red dock across Crown Island to access secluded locations. This includes areas which the player might have caught sight of earlier in their journey, but would have been unable to get to without the item. For example, it can be used in Dew Cave to reach the optional boss Epheal. It can be toggled on or off through using TAB, and can be used by pressing the button that the player has assigned to 'use selected power'.
