Rarely seen, there are said to be only a handful of Rivardien existing on Crown Island at any given time. They patrol their rivers peacefully and emit an aura of cool mist at all times, it is said that spending time at a river and feeling a Rivardien pass is both peaceful and a blessing from god for a long and satisfying life. "Swimming" freely through the air or water on a whim, Rivardien will occasionally find a peaceful place to rest and meditate, closing its eyes and remaining perfectly still. Any human passing by that does not alert the meditating beast is considered pure of heart and mind as Rivardien can sense thought-energies from Humans and Monsters alike. While rarely documented, on some irregular multi-year schedule Rivardien are said to gather at the roots of their rivers at a forking falls. There the Rivardien will meditate, and dance together, communicating in some fashion that is imperceptible to humankind. Before departing, some Rivardien will melt into a mist that is then absorbed by the others, and at other times a single Rivardien will dive into the cool waters, emerging as two new Rivardien.
